Elke Wouters has followed the Belgian gambling market since 2017 and tests every operator personally with the maths behind bonuses as a constant point of attention. Based in Leuven.
How we test. we register like any other player, deposit via Bancontact, file a withdrawal request and measure it through to the account. We hold the name against both of the regulator's lists and go over the small print word by word.
Our income comes from affiliate commissions; that does not change what the review says. If the licence is missing, it says so, fee or no fee.
Limits, age and EPIS
On player protection, Belgium sits more strictly than most of its neighbours with concrete consequences for your account. By default €200 per week per site may go in.
The Gaming Commission keeps one central exclusion register in EPIS: the block covers every licence holder in the country. Unlicensed sites are not connected to it. Under-21s have been shut out of casino, hall and betting since September 2024; scratch cards and Lotto stay at 18. The check is automatic.
